Our Mission
The Florida Association of Haitian American Law Enforcement Professionals (FAHALEP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2026 to unite, support, and advance Haitian American law enforcement officers and criminal justice professionals across the state of Florida.
Rooted in the strength of Haitian heritage and guided by the highest ideals of public service, FAHALEP exists to bridge the proud legacy of our community with the future of law enforcement in Florida.
Whether you serve in a municipal department, county sheriff’s office, state agency, or federal bureau — if you wear a badge and carry Haitian heritage in your heart, FAHALEP is your home.

Our Story
About FAHALEP
FAHALEP was born from a simple but powerful truth: Haitian American law enforcement professionals in Florida needed a home. A place to connect, to grow, to be seen — and to collectively make a difference.
Florida is home to one of the largest Haitian American communities in the United States, yet for too long there was no statewide organization dedicated specifically to uniting those members of our community who had chosen careers in law enforcement and public safety. FAHALEP changes that.
Founded in 2026, FAHALEP draws inspiration from pioneering Haitian American law enforcement associations in New York and Boston — and sets its sights on building something even greater right here in the Sunshine State.
